Janet V. Hallahan has represented companies in all stages of their life cycle in the registration, licensing and sale of trademarks for over 15 years, including the due diligence and negotiation of trademark and other intellectual property rights in complex transactions. She has a unique perspective on the needs of clients, having worked not only as outside counsel advising trademark clients in a wide range of industries but also as in-house counsel managing a trademark portfolio on a tight corporate budget. She is also a technology and privacy/data security attorney, which provides her with a deep understanding of the broader commercial landscape in which trademark owners operate. She serves on the INTA Commercialization of Brands Committee and Licensing Subcommittee, and is a frequent speaker and writer on branding and commercial topics.
