Eric is a partner with Gerben Intellectual Property and works with business owners, in-house counsel, and foreign counsel to protect their trademarks and copyrights. Whether it’s trademark registration, complicated IP asset transfers, or high-stakes enforcement issues, he and his talented team create and execute plans that keep the client’s assets, budget, and risk tolerance at the heart of every decision. Eric graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in History and graduated cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law in 2012. He started his career at a large IP firm before joining his current firm, Gerben Perrott, in 2014. Eric is currently the chair of the trademark division of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law, and he was a part of roundtable discussions with Congress on the creation of the Trademark Modernization Act and was the first to file a Petition for Expungement under the newly-created procedures.
